So this is what sonic CD would look like if it was on the DS. Oh and 5 stars!

Dreams Come True. The composers of the Sonic CD, 1 and 2 soundtracks.

Load up the game as normal in the Sega CD (2nd gen). Select a level, then take the game disk out, and swap it with a disk of your choice. Use the suicide/restart level trick, and it will reload with the music on the new CD.
Just remember to put the game disk back in towards the end of the level, otherwise the game will hang up after the "Clear Act" screen. It does work, at least it does for Sonic CD, and it's the only trick I know of for that system.

Wow. This is pretty cool, how you can play different music to a game of Sonic CD. I wonder how you do it and I also wonder if you could create a run set to a song of my own.

I do this using a rip game with an Genesis/Sega CD emulator, deleting the original mp3's and replacing with these songs. I chose the songs with the feeling of the level.
