  • Why are the fire trucks so different in the UK vs the US?

It looks like the (UK) units are hiding things. Where in the US the trucks show alot more.

    I don't know that's why I'm asking.

  • its because UK brigades alot more equipment onboard the trucks, as the pumps also carry rescue quipment. US trucks carry only certain ie Engine trucks carry fire fighting quipment and nothing really else

  • ant got no lfb machines on here they have loads of brand new machines

  • ino but i hav no photos of them by me

  • the quints off the run due to problems with the ladder an basket got told it will cost sumware i n the regon of £15.000 to get it sorted

  • Having technical vehicles like ARP's/Quints are causing problems with Brigades now, like Strathclyde's one's as im told

  • Wow, it 's a real shame all of the bad comments about each others equipment. I find fire trucks from other countries interesting, especially European Fire Appliances as they are called. I love the looks of the SCANIA trucks. I like to see the tools and pumps that are different than ours here in the USA. I agree with the guys who posted "We are all firefighters, we shouldn't fight with our brothers from other countries! I'd like to learn new things and ideas from our European brothers! Stay Safe

  • @ukfireandrescue So even though the US ones are more shiny, it'd be best to bring a UK one to a 999/911 call do to the gear it can carry, am I correct?

  • Are you guys seriously battling it out on firetrucks!? man, I just love the new man and scania trucks we got operating these days!

  • @ukfireandrescue It depends on where you go, actually. I'm a volunteer firefighter for a rural township in Pennsylvania, and we have rescue equipment aboard the Engine for weekdays when most people are at work. We are shorthanded on those days, so we have our trucks running double duty sometimes.

  • @ukfireandrescue

That is not true in the USA we have Engine/Rescues and Engine/Tanker/Rescues?

We carry as much equipment as our UK counterparts.

  • We all have different budgets from country to country when it comes to the Emergency Services and we do manage to get by with what we got.. Sure it would nice to get a new pumper every now and then but again see which stations need what and what it can afford..

As DLuccia327 "a fire fighter is a fire fighter"

  • Awsome peices of equipment there and remeber people check your smoke alarms !!!!!

  • Does anyone know what the white fire engines in London are for?

  • I like the video you don't see anything like that around here. I could care less where you are from US or UK a fire fighter is a fire fighter

  • by the way ill think u will find these are all great brittish fire engines so all the comments about mainland europe ones im just gona ignore you FUCKHEADS!!!!

    AMERICA CAN GO FUK ITSELF!!!!
