The holidays are always bright - really, really bright - for Amy Renczkowski's family in Lancaster, Mass.
Amy, a Day newspaper staff writer, gives viewers a sneak peek at the monstrosity known as her family's holiday decorations. See her father, Gary Mr. Christmas Renczkowski, and his family put up 35,000 twinkle lights, a 16-foot-tall wooden soldier, Santa and eight tiny reindeer, snowflakes in the trees, 27 plastic figurines, three large inflatables, a wooden sleigh, a gigantic wreath, musical bells and lights timed to music.
The family's display has attracted tour buses, prompted Christmas cards from the electric company and earned them the distinction of being known as the local version of the Griswolds from the movie National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
