Nice , I lived in mine from october until april of last year in the mountains in North Carolina. Cold as hell, hit 20 below with the chill 3 nights. Good times ! Peace

Did you stay out in it overnight? What temperature?
Were you warm enough to sleep well?
How much insulation from your pack contents did you have?
Is there a sleeping bag and pad and ground cloth, or bivy, in the gear you brought?

@backpackinonline not that particular one...but I have sleep in dozens over the years...depending on the weather...for example coldest was 30 below cels, I was younger then...and had very good clothing.. lots of wool...kept the fire going all night and no frost bite...tough nite but managed..lots of warm water to drink and out of the wind.....it was better than no shelter and no fire...and yes I always carry an emergency pack that includes a shelter and warmth..

i would guess that you were lying in a mudpuddle pretty quick. I like the shelter though.

Have the boughs at least 3 feet high and it shinks to about a foot keeping it off the ground, I use saplings down first or logs then saplings.
