  • Nice fix, but I hope that you know that the manufacturer replaces this faulty seal free of charge ?

  • This is very true, but time was a problem in this case so the nice Vaillant rep supplied the seals, free of course. and we fitted them as it was an interesting exercise anyway. :) Thanks for the comments

  • corgi monkey? changed a rubber seal for a graphite seal and have become all clever now have we? how do u know its sealed correctly? have you taken combustion readings? have you replaced the fiber washer connection from the gas valve flex? how do you know its not leaking in that sealed compartment? hope you can sleep

  • fit vaillant boilers all the time, never had a problem, excellent boilers

  • What is wrong with your Vaillant?

MORE THAN 90% OF FAULTS ARE CAUSED BY LACK OF INSTALLER KNOWLEDGE.

  • had exactlty the same problem with my Ecomax. Vaillant area manager said that they would do free of charge, but head office refused and deny any issues. Changed it my self piece of p'ss. Why should I pay some corgi monkey.

Vaillant are crap wouldn't ever fit again.

  • Aa ha! That was were I was mistaken, there was a recall on the ecoTEC range but not on the ecoMAX range, most installers would say that the ecoMAX SHOULD have been part of the recall.

  • The rubber seals are ALWAYS replaced free of charge. Labor and driving costs not included.

  • Don't worry, the seals were NOT replaced free of charge by Vaillant, the seals were replaced free of charge on the Vaillant ecoTEC range.

  • Dude, you should get out more! :-)
