Lord Sugar met Gordon Brown - Part 1

GORDON Brown sensationally declares today that he will NOT scrap the Pound for the foreseeable future.

He tells The Apprentice tycoon Sir Alan Sugar he has no plans to ditch it for the euro.

And the PM dismisses calls by European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso for Britain to join the single currency.

His words will be seen as a firm commitment to keeping the Pound — despite pressure from new Business Secretary Lord Mandelson to switch to the euro.

Grilling

Amstrad boss Sir Alan tells Mr Brown in a wide-ranging grilling he fears Britain will scrap the Pound as its value dips towards one euro.

Sir Alan says: If it gets to a pound to the euro then we are in the euro, arent we? The PM replies: No, no, no.

Have read Alans latest book also - although he thinks people may want to throw it out the window for his 'controversial views', I find myself agreeing with 99% of it (not sure about Jordan but I guess I'm not informed enough to judge that one). Although being PM must be a bit of a poisoned Chalice, I wish Lord Sugar would! He'd get my vote & make the future of this country a lot less scary!

Just finished Alan Sugar's book ! Really really recommend it ! A very succesful fellow ! People just see him on TV and judge him , learn his sucess and digest it ! An exceptional man !
