the hole can be used for a smoke screen. give it a try take a piece of paper and soke it in a flammable substance mixed slighly with sugar. let it dry...if it burns properly it'll smoke like crazy due a test of the paper . then twist some up and stick it in the end light it and do a quarter spin in to target.....smokes up a small area in doors is a little better coverage.

@uzerofutube I think the large ones are 1045 carbon steel, and the smaller ones are 1018 carbon steel.
