Bluefin fishing the scallop boats in the Hudson Canyon is a favorite
seasonal activity. You never know which, if any, draggers are holding the fish.
You just have to run and gun until you find one that is keeping the tuna tight.
Then is it a game of staying close with out bugging the scallop boat captain and keeping away from other nutty anglers hungry to get the first tuna. Here we work the Bay Star and get close enough to squid net some guts while drawing a small fleet of other recreational fishers envious of our position.
Catch any bluefin? Is that a 76' Viking?
