I have a hard time feeling bad for the family cause they might lose their house when they drive a new car, have a tv thats bigger than the walls in my apt, and a wii.

Well, actually everyone complains about their problems so my comment was unnecessary. The whole family did an average job in my opinion, they could be a lot better now. But who cares anyway? Some people go up, some go down. It is natural, still not a big history in my opinion. Of course it is a good one for some people(mainly Latinos living in the US), but not for me and some other commenters here. (And I am Brazilian btw)

Well I am sorry but from my comments I assume you have already noticed that I obviously can't relate to them. You can't blame me more than you can blame an Afghanistan for not relating to a German or a French. Perhaps there have been other families that have been abused by these policies, but I believe this one had plenty of opportunities. It was a poor choice in my opinion.

they actually had a really beautiful home and had to sell a lot of their luxuries to get by. These kids' father did an amazing job of maintaining his home. &They're really not complaining, they're just trying to make it on what they have. You try being sixteen, college bound, and have to leave all that to pay bills and take care of two kids.

They don't own these things, the banks do, they're making payments on these things. and 300,000? even if they owned the house and car completely, they wouldnt get close to 150K. and that's if they could sell it. They don't own it, they own a mortgage and probably a lease. they own debt. That's the american way. And of course there are worse things in the world.. there always will be. There are worse things than kids sifting through rubbish, but that is a story that needs to be told as well..
