A FEMA trailer depository in Purvis, Mississippi of at least 40 acres filmed from corner to corner 360º. This depository appeared soon after Hurricane Katrina looking as large a collection then as it did when filmed August 13, 2006.

  • These trailers are in front of my house and I hate them. I have been sick ever since they put them there.

  • I can only imagine. It seems they were put there just after Katrina and never moved...ever. Is that right?

  • are these trailers still there???

  • @408alpha You are incorrect in your statement...not all of these were lived in. About 30% were regular dealer units pulled off of RV and M/H sales centers and contained 0% formaldehyde. Again, the danger was vastly overstated.

  • 80,000 trailers came thru this site after katrina. ALL of these trailers were lived in. They are rotated back here as people move out of them. there are 2900 left. They are being auctioned off. This site, carnes, columbia, hickory grove, lumberton will all be shut down by oct. 2010.

  • I live just in purvis also and i did not see them until after katrina and i belive there still sitting there taking up all that space

  • Dude, all of my family lives in costal Mississippi. You don't have to tell me. (Plus, my power was out for about 3 weeks too) I just didn't like the song. Plus, I felt like messing with my friend that posted this video. Frankly I don't know why nothing happened with these particular trailers, but then I didn't really try to find out either. Maybe formaldehyde, maybe a greedy owner, who knows. Either way, I made sure my family and friends had what they needed.

  • ok. look. thousands and thousand of people with no homes at all and here now in 2009 they are still sitting there, the trailers that is and the people who didnt have a home never did get a trailer. so they were left stranded. please have some sympathy. try not having power for 3 weeks. and no water for 2 weeks. from the location where im familular with. it sucked when i went over to see family and i cant tell you enough how glad i was to see them alive.

  • Yeah I know from living nearby Purvis where I moved after Katrina I never did get a Fema trailer, I do know alot of people have put this location of fema trailers under scrutiny because whats the purpose of them here? They were never used, then about a year or 2 after Katrina, this place was SELLING the trailers.

  • This song is horrible and no one wants to see a bunch of fema trailers.
