Southbound in a nice jaunt down the NEC is Bombardier Bi-Level Cab #7017 and bi level trailers with ALP-46 #4603 shoving south on the north end. This location is 1/2 mile south of the PORTAL (Hackensack River) Drawbridge in Secaucus, NJ. Just south of this location is the Kearny Connection and Newark Penn Station. The 4603 towards the end has some wicked wheel flats, or what I call "Hammer Time!!". This little spot of mine is located in Secaucus, NJ on Route 7, heading west towards Belleville, NJ, just east of the NJ Turnpike.

  • how come u say it is goin west toward belleville nj if no more passenger trains go thru belleville? the last line that had passenger service was abandoned a few years back.

  • Maybe you should try reading the caption a little better, buddy!! I didn't say the train was going towards Belleville, what I stated was the location where I shot the video is on Route 7 which heads west towards Belleville. Here is the exact note, READ CAREFULLY!!!

"This little spot of mine is located in Secaucus, NJ on Route 7, heading west towards Belleville, NJ, just east of the NJ Turnpike."

I hope this clarifies things, although I swore I made it clear enough

  • nice angle!

I like the way you shot this!

  • Thanks :-) I try to make my videos the best possible. Just wait until I get me a more professional camera :-D

  • To Trainiac and ERIE....

It's always awesome to work on the trains, don't get me wrong, but also awesome to step back and actually see it all in action!! And when I do that, I try to nail it to the tee!! Thanks for the comments!! :-)

  • @MNRRConductor2006 acctually I dont mean to be a dick but when I read the description I thought the same thing......

  • The bi-levels were great in 2008 when they were a novelty and assigned to all the RIGHT trains, mostly Corridor expresses and such. But in 2010, Transit has ordered WAY more than reasonable thanks to Bombardier's sales greed, and it cost them a fare hike of 25%, in addition to the budget crunch.

  • 2 levels

  • That is an awesome shot!
