"That sends a message to society that children don't needs a mother and father, when that's false..."

My father died when I was 10. I was raised by my mother alone, grew up well adjusted, became the first person in my family to graduate college, and now have a career. So, no, you don't need two parents of opposite sexes to raise children. All you need is love.

Anyone who stands against gay marriage is opposing equality, freedom, the Constitution, and America.

Clinton, and most Dem supporters of DOMA, now say that they regret supporting it. Clinton said that if he had a chance to redo it, he would've vetoed DOMA.

Cultural, social and political views change and evolve over time. Views on homosexuality have certainly changed. Why can't politicians and dumbfucks like the Family Research Council get that through their bigoted brains?

There are empirical studies, meaning information that has been proven, which indicate that it is ideal to have 'two parents'. There is no study that indicates that there is a significant difference between two heterosexual parents or two homosexual parents. In fact, what the evidence shows is that gay parents are slightly better because they choose to have children and take on the greater responsibility of protecting them from harm and discrimination and make them do well in school.

And my mother died when I was 6. My father raised me and my three siblings alone. I'm the youngest and also the first person in my family to graduate college; I have a legal degree and a career as a Paralegal. There is absolutely no requirement whatsoever to dictate who raises a child, as long as they are well loved and encouraged to reach their potential. We are an African American family. I'm just the same as anyone else, I happen to be a gay person. I deserve the same rights.

My father died when I was very young. I grew up with just my mother. I'm a well-adjusted adult who graduated both high school and college. I have a girlfriend, a dog and a semi-nice apartment in Boston.

You don't need a mother and a father to grow up well adjusted. I'm living proof of that.

Marriage is not rooted in nature. Nature couldn't care less how we perceive a man-made classification system...

Why does MSM continue to give a anti gay hate groups and their spokespeople a sounding box? When are they going to invite a representative of a white supremacy group to discuss abolishing MLK Day?

Because the producers, who are charged with making money for the show, are cravenly greedy and need to create a controversy in order to get viewers to the program to sell them products during commercial breaks. They have no other function than to make money. These people don't give a damn about America, our Constitution (except their own 1st Amendment rights as a tv station), or how these HATE GROUPS affect 10% of the population's lives.
