The Lufthansa flight LH44 from Munich experienced wingstrike while landing at Hamburg on 1 March 2008 during Emma storm. Nobody was injured; the plane landed using another runway.

I'm sorry, but I had to say something, after reading all the comments on here I have learned something. If you don't know what the fuck you are talking about don't give your input! It's not a stunt and that pilot had to land there, you just can't go, aw, it ain't happening.. You fucking land that aircraft when you are told! Some people are stupid, and retarded!!! That pilot DID the right thing!!!!

This is due to cross winds and as you can see the pilot does a great job trying to adjust at the last minute but fails.I would say it is a great recover. Look at the plants in the vid and how much they sway. The plane experiences the winds much more than the plants does so you can imagine the impact of the cross winds on that bird..

I know about planes, this happens do to high wind speeds. as you see the plane cant fly straight in as the wing hit the pavement for a short time. he did a great job..

Duuuuude... that was awesome recovery of the plane in such terrible conditions! From the star of the video you could see how strong the cross winds were!
