Wilco's post-Jay output just isn't up to par. The last 2 records are good but just don't compare to Summerteeth, Being There, or YHF especially. Ghost is Born comes the closest.

jay and jeff obviously worked well together, for a awhile anyway. these were good times. i bailed on wilco after jeff ripped on billy bragg and dumped this line-up. still a golden smog fan though.

Wow, are you wrong about that. I mean everyone is entitled their opinion but Wilco's latest work is groundbreaking. It just might take some people a few years to realize it. As with just about every other great artist and artists. I.E the beatles white album, sgt. peppers.. bob dylan picking up an electric guitar??? you'll catch on brother..

I got what you're saying but I just think yankee hotel foxtrot and a ghost is born are those groundbreaking albums like sgt. peppers and the white album.

i saw wilco at bonnaroo 2009 front row play this song right after jay died. the lyrics were so eerie! i got goosbumps... "take the guitar player for a ride whos never been satisfied" (the lawsuit)..."you think you'll just crawl back in bed, fortune inside your head" "possitively unemployed, so misunderstood" i saw jeff tweedy looking up at the sky during this and it looked like he was about to cry. RIP Jay

musically it's great but I think jeff's lyrics are just not up to par with what I'm use to. I respect your opinion, and even though the last 2 albums aren't my favorite they're still better than most the shit i've heard in the past couple of years. that's says alot about a band.
