In this video I answer a couple of questions and requests on the Swiss M1 stove and using it in my Swiss Ranger Volcano Stove.

sm00thindian asked, "I have the Swiss Ranger volcano stove.. and have been wondering if the Swiss M1 fuel can will fit inside it?"

cessnalover22 asked, ".... I do like the "Swiss M1 stove" for my car but wanted to know, does the stand also work or fit on sterno cans? I don't care if it doesn't nest together but can I just use it on a sterno can later after I use up the fuel in the M1?"

And several others asked me to use the Swiss M1 stove, AKA Notkocher 71, in my Swiss Ranger Volcano Stove.

Note: The stand-off / stove is not aluminum. I don't know what the metal is but a magnet sticks to it.
Also make sure the can is cool before you screw on the lid.

I got both the Swiss Ranger Volcano Stove and the Swiss M1 stove from Cheaper Than Dirt
You can find it at: http://cheaperthandirt.com

  • notkocher means needful-cooker

  • Great reviews, really helpful videos.

  • The alcohol gel can is steel, it is disposable or recyclable. I am subscribing to your wise channel.

  • Try refilling the stove with alcohol based hand sanitizer. It burns!

  • Just bought my own stove set. Thanks for info on how to put out.

  • Danke!

  • Yep, Notkocher means Emergency Stove. I'm German. Not means Emergency, and Kocher means stove.

  • Thanks again Hiram, so how many 2 cup boils can you you get from one can. Thanks

  • Notkocher is a hard translation, but after some playing around with translations of component words, I think I have it.

    Emergency translates to Notfall.

    Neediness translates to Not.

Notkocher might be a special abbreviated case compound word of the english of "Emergency Stove." Only one that I can think of that makes sense.

  • pretty cool video, thanks for sharing!!!
