  • Do cats ever go crazy when you cut their whiskers off or do they grow back?

  • @Lolobee164 They grow back. We only trim them when we have to

  • Ive seen vetercyn work wonders for abscess like this.

  • @threezerol944t Antibiotics and peroxides work well to fight and get rid of infection

  • @DrGregDVM Yeah vetercyn apparently is just electrolyzed water, with some added electrolytes. HCL, NaCl, HOCl. No antibiotics. No peroxides IIRC. My friends cat had a similar abscess on its neck, cleared it right up. Check out check out vetericyn (dot) com .

  • @threezerol944t I'll check it out. Sounds like a weak acid like vinegar

"Let's do this. We'll knock you out, give you an anesthetic, gash you, and let's go ahead and drain that so you feel much better. What do you think?"

    Cat: o.O

  • @mesoemo Cats hate to be messed with and really make it hard to treat them sometimes. However hope it went well!!

  • one more thing. sorry for so many posts. The drain that your put in, does it have a slit on the inside so when the skin heals around the tube it can still drain? or am i completely off the ball?

  • Also because it is so close to his jaw, would he have problems later chewing or controling the jaw muscles.

  • @DrGregDVM Yeah the hypochlorous acid would be the acidic solution from electrolysing water/sodium chloride. Which would be a strong disinfectant, and oxidizer.....yeah a weak acid, like acetic. The HCl though..that would be a strong acid. I should test some just to see the over all pH of the solution LOL. Its gotta be pretty low to disinfect I would imagine given the ingredient listing. Then again, bases can be strong disinfectants too.

  • @Zilziox Glad you like it, thanks for watching!
