The red flags are that these people are using legitimate charities names to get donations knowing that they are not being used for actual charities.

The guy IS a businessman. If he can make even as little as $200 off the thing there isn't really any reason for him to have it removed. And they do say "for Profit" on them.

Giver Beware appears to be close to Buyer Beware.

I would never put anything in any of them. Too many known, local, charities that need help.

There is also a bin by the Hall of justice in sf. I see it every day going to work.. I first thought oh this is nice our city have such thing, but now more like, this is kind of stupid and sad..
