This package is a wrap of US and world reactions to the disclosure of more than 250,000 State Department cables and discuss the implications of how or if it can affect the diplomatic relations of United States with its allies. The Obama administration sought Monday to dilute the fallout from the disclosure of these documents cables, insisting that strong foreign partnerships could withstand the damage and that the leaks will not force any U.S. policy changes. The sound bites of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Australian Attorney General, Afghan Presidential spokesperson and a political analyst Richard Clark have been included in the report. Sec. of State Hillary Clinton has called the release of these documents an attack on global diplomacy. Wikileaks says it will be releasing more documents in the days to come that will expose lobbying efforts in the US, human rights abuses by America as well as statements made by Prince Andrew that might cause embarrassment to the British royal family.
