Ravens Drums with Evans EC2

Raven Custom Drums 8-ply Keller maple shell drum kit, 12x8, 15x13 toms (18x16 not used), 22x17 kick, 14x7 snare. EC2 clear over Ambassador clear on toms, G2 coated over Ambassador snare on snare, PS3 batter and EQ3 resonant on kick. Recorded with a single SM57 overhead into a Macbook, then compressed and a bit of reverb added for space.

What are the rubber free- swinging toppers on your cymbal stands? Those look like they save a lot of shit for your cymbals.

@thomassmith18 those are Aquarian cymbal springs. They work nicely but I got new hardware and have gone back to felt.

For those who're looking for tuning tips, check out Bob Gatzen's YouTube videos on tuning, from the Evans web site. That's the starting point.  I believe with these drums I went up a couple steps and likely had the bottom heads tighter than the top on the toms and kick and the snare was probably tuned medium-tight.

I ran through a cheap Behringer mixer and an RCA to 1/8" cable into the mic input.
