Many people think that Julian "has it made" with the money and name afforded him in life. Far from it. He had a superstar, talented father who basically abandoned him just as his grandfather, Freddie, had abandoned John.

You cannot buy parental love. But, the kid has done alright for himself. A super talent in his own right.

Julian did not have money after the divorce. Cynthia worked hard to support him then he worked odd jobs until the Valotte album took off. It took a court case for him to get his share of his trust fund.

The first song is Valotte, I play the whole album while I do the drawing.

I'm drawing him the right way up on a portrait page, the camera is looking down from the side, just haven't found the right place to put it yet. :P

Just a suggestion. Your paper's turned to landscape orientation. If you turn it to portrait, that is longer than wide, you'll have a lot more wiggle room while drawing him.

Only posted that because I'm familiar with the frustration of getting features right but winding up with a squished head.
