Nuns called "thila-shin" (keeper of precepts) on their fortnightly alms round "hsoonsan hkan" in small groups and in a 200 strong annual procession in Mandalay, Myanmar; they are given uncooked rice and groceries as they cook their own meals unlike the monks. They do however eat only one meal before noon the same as the monks.
