  • I have trouble getting the right hip angle for it to end as a roundhouse, My hips keep going more forward and the best I end up with is a jumping turn angle kick

  • this kick is super easy

  • @steveecker ooh okay bro thnks

  • @StunnaMan13 I'll record as soon as I get a chance and can talk and explain them step by step, but here's a few good examples so you can see the working parts involved. Just keep in mind what I mentioned about kicking in front/behind, dipping down, and twisting jump etc. :) BUTTERFLY: watch?v=geix2cdeU90 .. and TORNADO: watch?v=SbRRt4JA0oM .. Basically, tornado = jumps straight up, inside crescent kick with twist (kick in FRONT of body). Butterfly dips down to the side, kick legs up BEHIND body.

  • @steveecker ooh okay thnks, nd yess i would like if you would record a few

  • @StunnaMan13 There's a huge difference, but good question. In a Butterfly kick, Your body only twists 180 degrees before contact, and you hit with the rear leg in a backwards motion. In this kick, your body twists 360 degrees before contact and you're kicking in front of your body. You dip down before butterfly kicking, and this is a twisting jump. Search for a few butterfly tutorials and see the difference for yourself, good luck with your training. If you'd like I can record videos for you.

  • i love this kick...

  • This is a tornado kick by another name

  • Thanks! ^ ^

  • @redsamuraidragon what makes it not a butterfly kick?, im a yellow belt in TKD at the moment, and to me it looks similar,
