  • Your assertions about what is and what is not a monopoly are entirely incorrect. Using your theory, the entire US government operates as a monopoly.

Utilities operate in a differently than most businesses. Monopolistic control will only be relinquished if the US government wants to take on all the responsibility for the infrastructure required. And by US government, I of course mean the taxpayer.

  • @wiggyx The point I am trying to make is that the Federally Government DOES HAVE a monopoly on the creation of money.

And that monopoly is a bad thing.

  • is that counterfeit money

  • @MrGUITARMAN1232 No, I do NOT advocate counterfitting.

I am recommendeding something called "local script". It's were you and a business association (for example) trade labor and goods based on local currency in attempts to deal with inflation.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • The problem is not that the government prints and controls the money supply, but the fact that the money has no basis. When we were on the gold standard there was not the wild inflation that we have experienced since moving to our current credit system. When the gold backing was removed and the Fed was created (un-Constitutionally I might add) they gained the ability to manipulate the market. Just look at what calling in their margin loans in 1929 did for our country.

  • @jenead95 Thank you for your comments!

    I agree 100%!!!

  • The best way to break the law concerning counterfeiting is that if you receive a fake bill and it's too late to hand it back for real money, you could spend it where a person is not likely to scrutinize it. Secret Service says it's illegal to knowingly pass fake, but if it's unknowingly there is no crime. GIMME A BREAK! They tell you to check your money so that you can take the economic loss instead of someone else. How can they prove that you know a bill is fake if you're NOT the counterfeiter?

  • too much fake money is bad for the economy

  • if the US government can order the treasury to print money out of their ass to bail out anybody.....then why can't I print money to bail my ass out? hahaha

rediculous....gas is way to expensive...even at $2 per gallon it's too expensive for people...and it's at around $3.37 per gallon now.

people with easy access to credit can't pay it back because it was too easy to obtain

and the banks are loving it, China is loving it and the idiot with high credit card debt is the slave to the system.

  • @indibry Private bank? Really? Where'd you get that?

  • @jenead95 It's not the GOVERNMENT!~!!! THE FEDERAL RESERVE is a private BANK!!!

Your parents allowed a private bank to take over the government...not only is there a monopoly, but it isn't even by our government, which might be less sinister...You are owned by a single bank entity, slaves by choice...like it? then do nothing.

  • more money? i haven't seen any of it.

  • @fakebuck all the fed money is bad for the economy too tho.
