Captain's Blog 11-21-11 BUSTED SCRAPPERS and Cradle Breakdown

Within ONE DAY of having our new security system operational we catch a pair of morons stealing copper out of our transformers in the parking lot in BROAD DAYLIGHT! In response we're posting the video here ( an official release will happen in an hour). We're offering $100 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of these idiots. We've also taken the cradle down so that we have room to store the transformers inside.

I'd imagine that a box that takes up a full character would be a "space" for between words. Of course, This is just a wild guess on my part. :P

You should have a wide beam motion detector aimed down on the area behind/on top of the transformers and generator that is connected to an alarm. Then when you catch them, use them in a PSA on the dangers of metal thievery. After all, there have been cases where scrappers have been vaporized in the act. (nudge nudge wink wink)

Where is the most energy lost in the transfer?

in the joint's? or as heat? (when they smash) or due to the fact that the ball is not really an solid body and get's deformed when hit and lose it's energy in that deformation?
