Ok, I was in a very dark mood I when I did it.
I hope you don't enjoy it ;-)

I found the song at a tab-site on the internet, did it for fun and recorded it by accident. When I listened to it I liked the hopeless feeling and did it once again. The melody I still remember from an english lesson at school.

  • Has a Leonard Cohen feel.

Aside from the fact I feel like jumping from a tall building while listening to this rendition because it's so damned haunting/depressing, geat job!

  • Thanks. It sounds sad, because it was very sad time for me. My singing was inspired by Bob Dylan, I think. Because he's my favourite song writer.

  • Hehe, thanks for the nice comment. It's not a song for every day, but a good song for some days ;-)

  • sorry johnny gave it another try.....sorry i just cant relate ...it would be interesting to hear you do

the classic Bob Dylan - Knockin' On Heaven's Door

    best wishes Gary

  • Even for me that version is sometimes terrible and sometimes beautiful. It's just a personal crazy version. So don't worry ;-)

"Knockin' On Heaven's Door" is great, but I heard and did it too often. And to do this "easy" song good is really hard, too.

    Johnny

  • Johnny I really like this dark cover of Eleanor Rigby. I had to hide the razor blades man lol, This is how Leanord Cohen would sing this song...Sorry man but I liked it : )

    rocket rob

  • Thanks, Rob. This is just a speceial version for me, which reflects the times I'm going through. So I never exspected that anyone would like it.

But I'm happy that you like it ;-)

  • Hey I like it , it is bizarre enough to invoke a response, physically and definitely from the core out ,like a small fuzzy in a microwave. Not to mention the large capacity cajones that it takes to maintain lucidity through the process of recording it, reviewing it and sending it out post haste for all to hear like a gift. I've changed my opinion as I write. Bravo , I love it

  • sorry johnny i just can not relate to it!probably because im born bred in liverpool..although the dark side seems to be a place we have all visited at some point in our lives.get a web cam johnny and claim your 3minutes of fame you deserve it mate!with a dylan cover though plz!

  • Johnny , Thats what makes this song great. It;s not a carbon copy. You did it in your own style. That's what makes it so good.

    Rob
