The diversity of the leadership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ("Mormon" or "LDS" Church) is just one of many indications that "Mormonism" -- the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ -- has truly become a global religion.

"The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done."

-The Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. in 1842

  • "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." Ghandi

  • @THELDSLIFE Amen to that!

  • I am very surprised that a black person is the elder.

Not long ago, Mormons said black people couldn't get to heaven unless they were slaves.

I may need some clarification on this.....any Mormon out there who would like to clear the air less it be considered TRUE

or shall we sweep this under the rug?

  • @BrightStaroftheDawn Please watch the video on the "MikeBatie" channel about what is what is not considered LDS Christian theology. The Mormon church has NEVER held what you mentioned as doctrine, in theory or in practice! Yes, the priesthood was not always available to all worthy males, but that didn't mean that every member of the church was not able to be saved through the blood of Jesus Christ! Holding the priesthood has NEVER been a requirement for salvation. There are LOTS of black Mormons

  • Mormons believe that I'm black because I betrayed God during a great war in heaven and was therefore "cursed". What a crock.

    Mormonism = racist doctrine.

  • @Nawledge1 You couldn't be more wrong. Let us, as Latter-day Saints, define who and what we are, and we are NOT racist. To accuse us of racism is hateful and just plain wrong. One thing you must be aware of is what is and is NOT official Mormon doctrine. Using random quotations from 150 years ago which are not part of any authoritative church manual or conference talk or scripture is misrepresenting this beautiful and amazing faith! It's time you changed the way you think about Mormons.

  • Uh, so the "diversity" in your church's leadership is an indication that your church is true?

So, let's see... that's just NINE "diversity" people in the middle echelons of Mormonism? Just SEVEN "diversity" men in the Seventies? And You DO realize there's about 100 Seventies, right?

Given that your church claims more members outside the US than inside, I'd say that's one big FAIL. C'mon, you should know this, from a purely statistical perspective.

  • Mormonism is Christianity restored??? How can it be restored if it was never lost?

Mormonism is a lie, a lie that good people have been stupid enough to fall for! Do your research and you'll realise that you've been lied to

  • @THELDSLIFE He was referring to British colonizing India for monitory motives! Nothing to do with Christian principles. The fact that you are manipulating this to suit an exclusively mormon cause at the expense of "christianity" makes me lose a lot of respect for your religion.

But Mormons believed skin colour was a sign of wickedness until the 80's. Yes, this even applied to people like Martin Luther King Jr as your "prophet" Ezra Benson labeled him a "communist and liar",

    ...hypocrisy much??

  • Has the Mormon Church ever offered an apology to Black people? It certainly did teach this... it's very difficult to deny it. It is also in the BoM, and it associates skin colour with wickedness.

You believe in modern prophets.. so how could it ever be right for your "prophets" to exclude blacks from the priesthood up until the 80's (OMG).

  • Mormons take centre stage in American politics

    Waterloo Record

  • Thank you so much for posting this. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints truly is Christ's restored Church.

  • Restored in these the latter days.

  • @solowookie

    Understood like a real weewahh.
