  • OMGosh! Our family LOVES Japanese food! We REALLY want to travel and visit Japan one day. That's one really special place that we have wanted to see for SO LONG! Thank you for sharing this video. It is SO interesting and I added it to our FAV's. 5*s! So... are you in the film production business for documentaries? I LOVE documentaries! In that way, I take after my dear old dad. Passed away, too, like my mom. She would have been 100 years old this year. :)

  • Really sorry to hear that, but I bet they're up there somewhere in heaven keeping a close eye on your whole family.

As for visiting Japan...My crystal ball say it'll happen in the very near future! :o)

  • I never knew making soy sauce was so complex, I would have thought it would have been alot simpler.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • @916kyle more like a very "patient" mother fucker haha

  • lol @the white people eating sushi LOL

  • Whoever invented this shit must have been a hungry mother fucker.

  • @picaticatara You can see what it looks like by doing a Google image search for Aspergillus oryzae. We forget often how microbes give us our food. Beer and wine and bread from yeast (a fungus). Then this is further fermented by a bacterium (Acetobacter) to vinegar. Yoghurt is Lactobacillus (bacterium) and sourdough rolls are made Candida milleri (a yeast) and another Lactbacillus. So come on... we should love our bugs!

  • soy sauce heaven at 3:10 =DDD

  • @GirlTalkMD i've been to japan before, and the food is like 20 cents! lol, it's much much cheaper and it taste waayy better over there ;)

  • im pretty sure the type of mold is an extremely critical factor and he didnt at all mention that

  • This is amazing with rice

  • AH! Can't believe he actually tasted that.. I thought he was just going to feel the texture of it.. not eat it.. :| I'm sure it tasted like soy sauce.. but just.. wasn't very appealing to eat! lmao!
