Tom, I think your super rad and your my fave reviewer, but I respectfully disagree. I had a blast and my fiance (a total non-gamer) enjoys it too. Can't wait to swoop up expansions and
Hey Tom, I have this feeling you overlooked a big factor in this game: control zone! Each character has a control zone in front of him, wich in my opinion makes the game more tactical in some ways than heroscape(wich I love playing too). Control zones force opponents to stop, and can make different characters support each other in battle. Also forcing your opponent to retreat into the control zone of 1 of your other guys, makes him shaken(or if shaken disabled). You should give it a second chanc
@BootlegPainting You haven't steered me wrong on game recommendations yet. I always enjoy the games you give high marks. I too am a minis gamer, which might explain a few things.
Have you tried Anima Tactics yet? It's a pretty good game and the minis are awesome! They just released the rulebook too. I'd also recommend Pulp City.
This game was real fun; I own it, own the Yakuza expansion. Me and my fiance played this way too much, and where you said you felt it lacked in tactical gameplay, I would disagree.
There were several characters you could mix together during battles that served as great combos and some also served as great against other characters.
All in all, it was a fav of mine for a while when it came out. Loved it.
oops.. I meant swoop up expansions and minis I shall get. Plus create my own homebrew scenarios! Yaay

Haha! It's funny, 'cause my name is Okko :D Actually, I haven't played the game OR readed the books/comics, but I guess they both are good!
