Fluid level of meibomian secretions seen in the inferior aspect of the interface on the day following LASIK. Entry of the secretions occasionally occurs soon after patients leave the laser center in eyes that are not kept well lubricated. The eyelid momentarily sticks to the flap and lifts it from the corneal bed just enough for debris laden tears to enter under the flap edge. These secretions are easily rinsed from the inferior aspect of the interface at the post-op day one visit at the slit lamp with BSS and a 27G canula.
