This is the other reason i like Chevy trucks .Because they come with two spots for batteries.

Dkhill27 if you hook it up in series it will create a higher voltage which is bad for the vehicle, if in parallel you'll increase the amperage but not effect the voltage

im wanting to do this for my audio set up my question is will it make my 12v car into 24v and will that screw up my electical like starter lights etc since its 12v. When my car is running im at 14.6 volts with my alt. What is the Difference between parallel Vs series

he truck came with the snow plow prep package which comes with a HD Alternator. But if you wanted to amp up to a 200 amp alternator it would not hurt, or you can have two alternators if you feel. very simple upgrade and allows you to run many accessories while plowing.

u should have just ran teh positive wire from one battery 2 the other and grounded the 2nd pattery 2 the chassis instead of running that 2nd wire

I did it this way because you get a stronger draw if you connect them positive to positive and negative to negative and then ground the 2nd battery to the chasis, then also run an extra charging wire from the alternator to the second battery. This gives you the most effiecient use of the dual battery plus you have two grounds in the process and both batteries are getting charged at the same time.
