The Bible contains the central religious texts of Judaism and Christianity.[1] Modern Judaism generally recognizes a single set of canonical books known as the Tanakh, or Hebrew Bible, as it is written almost entirely in the Hebrew language, with some small portions in Aramaic.[2][3] It is traditionally divided into three parts: the Torah ("teaching" or "law"), the Nevi'im ("prophets"), and the Ketuvim ("writings"). Christianity recognises as canonical the books of the Tanakh, in a different order, as the Old Testament. In Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy, additional books, called the Deuterocanonical, are included, which Protestantism regards as apocryphal. All Christians also recognise the New Testament, a collection of early Christian writings that consists of the Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles, and the Apocalypse. There exist New Testament apocrypha which have not been generally recognised. Jewish canon

  • @CosmicCowhand

Yeah, I'm planning on buying android myself. Mysword looks like it may be just as good as Pocketsword.

  • @erzhs Wrong, the Bibles work offline once you've downloaded them to your phone. On Android 2.2 and higher you can move it to SD as well. Excellent app and now with streaming audio (which you DO have to be online for) that can read the Bible to you in a human voice.

  • @Gipshaw Too late I got an Android, way cooler and with better specs and more freedom for less money. :D I have to say that YouVersion is an excellent Bible app. Cadre Bible is good too. YouVersion is also on the iPhone and Blackberry

  • @CosmicCowhand

iPhone has bible apps too, Pocketsword is a really good one my parents use.

  • too bad you can only using it online...

  • @allandroid

  • Can you add notes and highlight bits as you would in your real Bible?

  • any chance you can add the old and new testament in Hebrew for the Israelis??

I would love to help in any way possible!
