You are correct. This is Kumdo, Korean. I'm not trying to put anyone down, but I don't think this is a very good demonstration. First off, it seems unwise to have someone hold the paper . They should instead have run a string across the room and taped the paper on for safety.The cuts from the instructor seem nice, but the paper shouldn't bat off to the side like that, but should fall directly downwards. Both have room for improvement, but I admire their spirits and motivation.
Hi, this is not samurai actually, the samurai uses kenjutsu and they are Japanese. This is Korean and the art is called Kumdo/Gumdo. Do correct me if Im wrong.
