Josh Brolin said they will never be a goonies 2 there is never going to be a short circuit 3 and oceans 14 either a goonies squeal isn't going to happen but goonies might get remade short circuit is going to be remade.

For those that haven’t been keeping up with Goonies 2, its one of three or four sequels that audiences can't wait to see.

its not only fans of the original Chris Columbus-scripted kid adventure that want to see the sequel open in theaters –people are grumbling about the endless litigation that's preventing Goonies 2 from hitting theaters, cast-members including Corey Feldman and Sean Astin have spoken on occasion about the strange roadblocks placed in front of the movie's release

They can't release the movie because of contractual disputes between unknown persons and Warner Bros who owns the rights, the very same thing has in the past to other finished movies, delaying release for years upon years, google it.

Sometimes I just wish there was no such thing as lawsuits, Goonies 2 would have been due to hit theaters this Christmas, but as it stands now, nobody knows when it will get released!

Of course, its still all just a big tax writeoff for Warner Bros! :(

They're keeping the sequel under wraps, my neighbor who does visual effects for a company in LA says he did some CGFX for Goonies 2 along with fifty other special effects people.

For all intents and purposes, the movie is in the can.

The completed movie has been shelved however by Warner Bros until unknown litigation issues get resolved.

Clearly it's not an issue of hoping for another movie, my neighbor has the check stubs from "Goondocks Productions LTD" showing his pay for working on the film.
