Disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP)

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

Make sure that you're using a admin user when you do this. Else it won't work.

Okay. In this video, i'll teach you how to disable the DEP (Data Execution Prevention), that causes millions of vista users problems, like blocking you from using some programs. But, notice.. DEP is a feature that helps securing your computer, and could be a mistake to turn off, but i'd have turned off, cause it seems it makes more troubles than avoiding.
Sorry for the danish text (i've got a danish version of vista)

What to do:

Step 1: Go to your desktop, and push the "start" button in the down left corner. Search for "cmd" in the little white search field.

Step 2: Some files and programs will show up, find the program called "cmd", right click it, and select "run as admin"

Step 3: When you're inside the program, type:

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

Step 4: When you've typed it in the window, hit enter, you should now get a sucsess message, and now, it's turned off =)

Step 5: RESTART COMPUTER. If you don't do this, the DEP will not be disabled!

Anytime you want DEP back on your computer, write this: "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx OptIn" in the command window.

Alright i recently bought Norton 360 5.0 and i right when it was installing it said it stoped working and there was an error. The D.e.p Error came up and i had to close. I turned the Dep off via the system , advance, and dep tab, and rebooted. Still nothing -__- I tried this method already and nothing .. Btw im running Windows vista Its an Hp Pavallion pc
