  • I think that musicians of the old days (Pink floyd, dire straights, led zeppelin etc.) were gifted, I would even like to go so far as to call them the prophets of music. How else is it that no music today is made like that time. All they care about these days is making loads of money as fast as possible. The entire spiritual feeling of the music has vanished. This saddens me...

  • Can you imagine if a band today went to their record label and radio programers and and played a 10 minute song that has high and lows (and even moments of silence) like this. They wouldn't get past the receptionsist.

Then came churches, Then came the schools, then came the lawyers. Then came the rules.

  • Through the ages., every generation says their music "is the best"... THEY ARE WRONG. This concert was at a time when the music industry, and MTV were raping the music scene., but then there were a few bands like this, that refused to be a part of it, and instead, chose to let their music stand on its own merits. Those days are long gone... Sad... PS. I saw this concert in Dallas Texas., THE Greatest Show Ive ever seen to this very day...

  • @ JoeyPsych: Because we've all become lazy. We're content to be spoon-fed on boyband rubbish and Katy Perry-style capital Radio crap. I don't know if you know anything about music, but if you do, check out just how many Westlife-Katy Perry-Saturdays etc. songs are all C-Am-F-G. It's an easy chord scheme for the brain to deal with, it's a godsend for lazy songwriters and musicians, and a goldmine for Cowell, Walsh etc. The real music is still out there, but you won't hear much of it on the radio.

  • @JoeyPsych I couldn't agree more. Sadly, the times of music like this has passed by.

  • @JoeyPsych That's a load of arse. Many of today's musicians are really good too. You probably only saw the bad side of them.

  • @JoeyPsych you may be right, it is too easy these days to make music, the art of actually playiing a musical instrument well, is in decline, let alone playing with a team of talented craftsmen, knowing what each of them, at any time, is going to do in an ad-lib jam, in front of thousands of people.gifted is a fitting word, i concur
