Recipe: http://www.healthyveganrecipes.net/video/red-lentil-dip

This red lentil dip is one of the fastest bean dips to make, and doesn't even need a blender or food processor! Red lentils cook to be so soft that all you need is a fork...

How will you serve this dip? Let me know below.

  • I'm going to try making into a sauce for vegs by replacing the sunflower seed butter with soaked cashews (cashew cream) so it will pour.

  • @foodpuppie yeah, that's awesome - I make this dip into sauce as well by just cooking the lentils in more water and/or adding some at the end. It works really nicely :)

  • Can I use this cooking method for the lentils for other things besides a dip? I wanna try learning how to cook my own lentils and beans soon.

  • @KezoZydis yeah, for sure - the red lentils get super soft, but if you use the same method for any other type of lentil they'll stay intact, although they take a bit longer to cook.

  • Where did you get the glass pot from ? I have been looking for these

  • @tonatha1985 I got mine from my mom - she's had them since I was a baby. I've looked for replacements for a couple pots & lids that I've broken in several moves, but they don't seem to make them anymore. You can find them on ebay though. They're called VisionWare (by CorningWare)

  • If I see frozen veggies on sale (usually broccoli and cauliflower) I'll stock up for emergencies. And fresh fruits!

  • You're beautiful. Just want to say that.
