This is a wonderful piece. I certainly have a different take on it than most who play this piece but I hope you will appreciate it anyway. Any comments are welcome as long as they are CONSTRUCTIVE. Any downright mean comments will be removed. Anyone who thinks I don't play this piece with emotion is simply crazy. That just is not the case. Played on a Yamaha C3.

  • hey.whats the diffrence betwen Db Major

    and C# major ??

  • These two keys are enharmonically equivalent. However, Db major is more often used because it is generally easier to read. Db major has 5 flats whereas C# major has 7 sharps, including E# and B# which can get confusing.

  • what a f... with your rubato??? absolutely agree with the last coment... don't play this great song again like in this video please, do it for chopin!!!

  • I certainly respect your opinion, but politely disagree.

  • I appreciate you so much, I'm watching every video you posted... how would you judge the difficulty of this piece? I'd like to learn it...

  • I would say early intermediate in terms of difficulty. The hardest section of the piece is probably the first page (before it goes into the section in the parallel minor). But the piece is well worth the time spent learning it. It's a beautiful piece and fun to play.

  • I think all your dramatic tempo changes totally destroy this piece. You are much better off choosing one basic tempo and sticking to it with maybe some very slight fluctuations. The way you do it here though is not effective at all. Did you know Chopin had all his students practice with a metronome and that he was apposed to a lot of tempo changes in his works?

  • nice tone quality. I appreciate your interpretation :-)

  • i am currently working on waltz in a minor how hard is it for me can u please answer

  • May i ask is this dominant? we are doing this at school u c i think that this ends a perfet cadence but in the middle section an imperfect cadence?

  • I absolutely love this piece myself, and I like that you incorporate your own rubato, but I think you might do well to try to have a more steady tempo, it seems like you're allowing the momentum of the piece to keep time over the actual tempo markings. But aside from the tempo, I thought the dynamics were some of the best I've heard.

  • WAY too much rubato. Chopin composed this in a time when he was sick and wanted it to be very simple like a dripping raindrop. i mean come on. one minute it is lento, the next it is allegro, make ur mind up! i would say buy yourself a metronome and practice it with that, and then give a little bit of stretching out at the beginning of a new phrase but that is it, but it should never be fast. i would be thrilled if you re-posted it and played the way Chopin intended it to be played.

  • A little bit too much Rubato here i think. Still nice! But i think it should be played with a little bit less.

  • Nicely exicuted I agree with some of the coments. The Ab is a peddle note and should carry a somewhat constant tempo I would say there is no harm in being a little expresive. Never complain about a different interpertation nicely played

  • You seem to be very talented. but i argree the tempo changes don t fit well on this piece. you go too fast or sometimes too too slow. i would mantain a tempo and play faster or slower, just not that much.. extremes are not good. only my opinion
