It's not quite like saying New York will turn "Red"...

Texas wasn't a "Red" state for all that long.

    And...

Every district located within one of Texas' major metropolitan areas is "Blue" Having favored Obama over McCain in 08' elections.

Um, Arkansas WENT BLUE TO RED in 2010. Blanche Lincoln lost by about 20 points, a LANDSLIDE ! Yes, Kentucky has a Dem. governor, however Rand Paul won in 2010 for Senator with an 11 point victory. Obama has not raised 1 billion dollars YET, but is expected to, however Mitt Romney is also expected to. I hope you realized now that Clinton did not win Texas. Also, why do you like Obama ?

Ok, well tell your friend that he/she is dead wrong...you can look it up yourself. Also, if a state can have a repub. gov. and turn blue, I guess a state can have a dem. gov. and turn red, right ? I'm only throwing your own words back at you. Texas will not turn red. Also, may I ask you why you like Obama ?

First off, before you lecture someone on political history, you should know that Clinton NEVER won Texas, but that Carter was the last Democrat to win Texas in a presidential election back in 1976. However, Bush 41 won California back in 1988, so according to you I guess California is turning red this year. Also, like I said before cities ALWAYS go Democrat. And Governor Perry beat his Democrat challenger by about 12 points which is a LANDSLIDE in politics. You should do your history.

The thing is, Democrats virtually ALWAYS win the big cities, that's NOT a surprise. Texas is one of the biggest Republican strongholds. It is by no means a battleground state. Even Obama's campaign realizes that. Also, do you REALLY think that Romney will lose ANY of the states that McCain won in '08 ? I highly doubt that.

Texas just turned into a battleground state.

In 2008 Barrack won the big cities in Texas -- Houston, Beaumont, El Paso, Austin, Brownsville, San Antonio, Larado, Dallas, + others, & 25 counties on the Texas/Mexico border.

And now minorities make up over 50% of the population here.

It will be close but Barrack definitely can win now!
