  • Got a question.. what if you actually take power though? i.e do what you would usually do, have your normal job etc, live your life as free as possible, try to be a shining example.. but you don't - lobby for change from people that don't care - but run for office.. You join one of the main parties, network etc.. do what you love, and if that involves educating others - and speaking honestly about the problems, like Ron Paul - and if you won.. can't you reduce that state etc? Then its worthwhile?

  • Well but people have been trying that approach for a few hundred years, it just doesn't work -- you might want to check out my free book Everyday Anarchy available on my website... :)

  • What if you don't think they've been genuine in their attempts? i.e I don't think Reagan was ever genuine in actions.. but say, Ron Paul would be.. The founding fathers did it, why can't another individual of stature come along and do the same? :s

  • What makes you think that the Founding Fathers were successful in their goal of creating a self limiting government? :)

  • LoL. Fair point.. they set up a framework that made it harder.. But how do you limit the fact that power attracts the corruptible? How do you get the pure minds to run for office? And educate the public.. Arrghhh lol.

  • Haha have a listen to my book 'Everyday Anarchy', it's free on my web site... :)

  • Global Warming is the corollary to the war in Iraq. Both are design to indefinitely expand state power (perhaps even on a global scale). It's the same agenda, just with a different name and a different approach. People must believe that the right and left are opposites (which is why the right doesn't support Global Warming, and why the left doesn't support the war). This gives people the illusion of choice (where in fact there is none).

  • political action isn't completely worthless Stefan. About a year and a half ago i was a neoconservative... where my veiws were somewhere close to Lee Doren's. Ron Paul's Campaign introduced me to libertarianism, and then finally i stumbled upon intellectually founded anarchy.

Political power comes in severral ways, birth right, violent takeover, by sheer charisma and leadership (very hard these days, media is loyal to whoever pays the bills), by having a rich benefactor to fund the campaign to whom you owe big time.

Thus we can conclude that we live in a plutocracy , rule of the rich.

  • @grumpone "oh wise one" evidence of the typically ass backwards retards found on FDR or is that a violation of free speech that only FDR can decode as the real truth? Not sure why my other response did not post, perhaps to truthful? Watch people that take away free speech, (anyway possible) that is a true sign of a limited mind like found here. Interesting u can judge the revolution in hind-site with all your knowledge, u must be smart like Stef.

  • @grumpone no u do the violence u must be braver than me. I'm making a point of what it leads to, not sure if that is over your head. I have no idea what the mob rule will do and if they do or don't do violence is not bad or good as violence is not bad but rather the initialization of it is. If stealing continues not sure what people will do in self defense of econ. aggression, nor am I the wise one like Stef or you to know. I am sure u are so wise u know. In Freeedom,

  • @libertarianjury You know what, you are completely correct - The ones ruling you now sure didn't get people to agree with them, they just control the media and they make the "public opinion". The problem is that if you want to win, you have to hide your values and positions and scam the electorate. The problem is that after you are elected and show your true face your backers eliminate you, peacefully or violently.

  • @Springtime916 He means voting, not educating others through a national platform.

  • @truevoice08 I agree he is. The results of "waking people up" are debatable to say the least. How many take action? It is good to have some martyr - they change things in the long run - but I mean in the long run. I am sure Paul knows this and knows he will never get elected president.

  • @LibertyJedi Go ahead then, do violence oh wise one. Good luck with that. See how well that revolution turned out - being taxed and controlled more by your own in less than 30 years after that revolution (how many people died for that!) than the English monarchy ever would.

  • @djleoluck All countries are the same, some worse than others. By not voting you do not give sanctiosn to the system. You will have to apy taxes anywhere or you'll be put in jail, everywhere. Being offshore and incorporated does help + changing your domicile. Of course you have to have time and money for that. Have as little or none of your assets in your personal name - play poor and you won't be suffering so much. If more people do it, the system will collapse sooner.

  • @D4Shawn Global warming is a scientific fact made out of to be a political issue, it is a real threat and we know this through science. It is sad that people believe that it is some kind of conspiracy to establish government control.
