Team USA's Bill O'Neill started the 2010 Men's World Championships with victory in Singles Saturday, Aug. 14 at Dream-Bowl Palace in Unterföhring near Munich, Germany. The reigning U.S. Open champion defeated Choi Bok-Eum, Korea, 244-202, to capture the first gold medal of the Championships. Bok-Eum, who has won the gold medal in All Events at the 2008 MWC in Thailand, received the silver medal. Chris Barnes, United States, and Dominic Barrett, England, shared the bronze medal.
Congrats Bill on this hollow victory. We see your faces on ESPN all the time. You touring professions have plenty of venues to compete without taking up slots in these tournaments. You guys turn this into a pro's vs Joes. PBA members should be disqualified from entering.
