There is no real problem. The Raynox sits relatively tight on the camera.
The only thing is that light is able to get into the lens from behind thus producing some unwanted reflections. You can avoid that by covering the back of the lens with some cloth, so that light only enters from the front.

Well, it's hard to say. I'd say something between 20mm and 24mm.
