^^ true true. i use Logic and love it, my bro has Albeton Live, it's pretty nice too, Pro Tools i've heard is awesome too!

Just about any midi sequencer is the same as this.
Personally I'd recommend getting familiar with cubase/reason/logic/albeton live

Noteworthy Composer is exactly like this, and it's free.. FL Studio is free if you can find the right download.. :)

Its not free.
I'd recommend using something different anyway because this program is fairly limited.
