I'm going to try and make this dress. :) It's beautiful. Also, this might be a silly question, but I want to have this as a dress rather that a skirt, do i need to measure it for my chest instead of my waist? I think my waist might be smaller...or should the elastic help it fit on my chest anyway? I haven't attempted to sew a dress yet, and i want to make sure i get this one right. :) thanks. :)

@VioletsDancer Yes, I think you have to measure you chest instead of your waist, if they are so different :) For me it's not a problem because they arre more or less the same :)

thats just amazing, ur so talented with fabric and a sewing machine, i didnt even know that could be done LOL. today i went to three main fashion stores and non of them had what looked like your home made dress, i would literally pay you £20 to make that for me. you go girl :)
