NAU Symphony plays Mahler Symphony No. 1, "Titan" I. Langsam, Schleppend (Part 1)

This is mostly for anyone who didn't get to see this kickass performance... Now you can, YAY. It's a video my mom took of the NAU Symphony playing Mahler 1. That explains why it's zoomed in on me for most of it... and then turns to my little sister every once in a while (like while she slept through the last movement.) Other than that, it's a video of one of our best performances ever (and it's kind of the 2nd violin show). Enjoy.

  • a nice performance indeed, i'm impressed, small errors aside, overall speaking very nicely executed.

  • Thank you!

And thank you for posting the video of Mahler 2. It's one of my favorites ever.

  • fantastic bad....

  • A performance both humanly imperfect as well as admirable. I have revisited it (and Favorited it) with appreciation.

  • Sounds great! well done, and ya you're pretty easy on the eyes too haha.

  • Nice job! You know, I am convinced that Alexander Courage swiped the first few bars as the now world-famous intro to the theme from Star Trek...

  • Very nice performance. I liked it.

    Your beautiful, though.

  • The first few measures are a recollection of Brahms 2nd last movement...
