Opening Ceremony: 2nd Batizado e Troca de Cordas - Grupo Bantus Capoeira Japão

Special international guests Mestre Pintor (Brazil), Graduado Claudinho (Singapore/Brazil), Grauado Rafael (Malaysia/Brazil), Instrutor Grão (Australia/Brazil), & Instrutor Lula (Brazil) perform before the Japanese Drum troupe in the opening ceremony of the 2nd Batizado of Bantus Capoeira Japan.

This performance was organized to celebrate 100 years of exchange between Japan and Brazil in the year 2008. The performance took place in Mitaka Yon Sho Gakkou Elementary School in Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan on Sunday November 2nd, 2008.

The performance is a celebration of the diversity and power of the traditional Afro-Brazilian instrument the "berimbau" played my Mestre Pintor, Japanese drumming, and the dynamic and acrobatic movements of capoeira performed by instructors from Bantus Capoeira.
