The lady operating the Fremont train is a real piece of work. I rode that train from N. Berkeley to 19th St., & I can count 5 times that she said, "As a courtesy to BART staff & your fellow passengers, NO EATING, DRINKING, or SMOKING within the paid areas." She even yelled at a guy at the Berkeley Station for holding a water bottle & hit the air horn (not the beep button) at a woman at 19th St. Station who was ALMOST standing on the yellow tiles!

  • I've only heard the beep button when I ride BART. When and why do the trains have air horns as well?

  • @astrotrain53 I've seen it used only one other time - to get someone off the yellow tiles at the edge as the train was pulling in.

  • @SJSharkWannabe in other countries and los angeles, they dont like make the "beeeeep" sound so why do BART really have air horns? and is there a law in california that blow airhorns to passengers who are just standing on the red tile(almost near the yellow tile)?

  • @TheLyricsmaniac90 Your guess is as good as mine...

  • They are soooo RUDE to passengers!!!! Embarrassing them all the time and making a spectacle of them in front of everyone. It never fails to happen that they get on someone on the loud speaker.
