  • I wish they made these at decent prices! The only ones I find new are $100! And no I found these by being a vinyl junkie.

  • @emansap Pawn Stars.

  • thank you

  • I bought one of these a few years ago at a flea market brand new in the box for a buck! They had 3 CASES of them. I played with it 4 awhile & stuck it on Ebay & it brought $150.00!!! WTF? WHAT is everyone's fascination with these stupid things? Naturally, I went back to the flea market & the guy said someone rushed in & bought ALL he had left for 50 bucks! I bet HE made a killing! Unbelieveable how much people pay for these stupid things!! BTW they DON'T hurt the records u play with them!

  • you, evil evil, person

Poorly designed record players gradually wear out your records. You may not notice the wear when playing with a vinyl killer or any other 'cheap' record player, but when the records are played on a nice record player (with adjustable tracking force and anti skating) you'll notice the record sounds distorted - more noticeable near the end of the record.

If your records are already worn, go for it. If your records are in good condition, please don't. That would be a total waste.

The wheels only affect the very top of the record, they probably don't get into the groove. The problem is the huge forces the stylus puts on the groove. There has to be quite a lot of stylus force to keep the killer on track.

Furthermore, there could be a lot of pressure on the outer groove wall because the whole car has to be pushed inwards.

Proper record players have very low stylus force and good arm bearings so the forces on the groove will be minimal.

  • HOw does this kill vinyl? The wheels?

  • I cant tell if ur being a wise ass or funny.
