The War that prevented Southern Independence, was a war against the Dixie barbaric culture.

Interesting they sang, "I'll took my stand" not, "I'll take my stand," even in 1949. 80+ years after the war's conclusion and "take my stand" was too politically sensitive.

Sir,
You are no proud Southerner!
If you were, you would not refer to it as the Civil War but the War Between the States or The War For Southern Independance!!

This is BS. Topical Hollywood ignorancy! This video is offensive to black people and southern people. I can find no entertainment or value in this. Should be removed as trash.

Being a proud southerner and civil war buff, this is both disgraceful and offensive to me!

(Chorus) Oh I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie Land, I'll take my stand, To live and die in Dixie, Away, Away, Away down south in Dixie, Away, Away, Away down south in Dixie.

I wish I was in de land of cotton, Old times they are not forgotten; Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. In Dixie Land where I was born in, Early on one frosty mornin, Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.

Old Missus marry Will, the weaver, William was a gay deceiver; Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. But when he put his arm around'er, He smiled as fierce as a forty-pound'er, Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
