This method of constantly using Hitler as a debate card is counter-productive. It limits all historical analysis to a very narrow, particular exemple that has been used ad nauseam in the past.
The United States have taken less confrontationnal approaches with other nations and this often yielded results. Of course, a military interventions and harsh sanctions are possibilities, but they should not be held as the only viable options, such as Norman Podhoretz is doing in this interview.
