I was at a picnic recently, and at sunset a gorgeous rainbow appeared in the sky. Well, just the base of it, but still. It really was pretty, but when I turned my head the rainbow disappeared! Never one to give up a chance for a cool science lesson, I quickly shot this video.

  • If I remember my high school physics class correctly, isn't light reflected from a certain kind of surface (I can't recall how it is categorized :/), polarized?
